ACCS Regional Training Program 2023-24

 

Trainees will arrange the regional training day with the support of the ACCS Trust Lead and their Clinicians in the organising Trust. It is for the organising to decide if an in-person or virtual programme suits the event.

 

The aim is to cover each of the 11 ACCS Learning outcomes of the generic ACCS programme over the year.

 

Note: SLO9 Support, Supervise and Educate: has no formal day as it is supported by trainees organising the training days.

Care for acutely injured patients across the full range of complexity

Management of Common Minor Injuries with a focus on:

Imaging decisions/pitfalls/guidelines
And injuries such as: scaphoid fracture, hip fractures, neurological and vascular injuries, back pain, wounds, soft tissue injuries, fractures and dislocations including local anaesthetic techniques.
Foreign bodies in eye and ear.
(note Major Trauma covered in a separate day)
